The 'Cantine of Greve in Chianti' is the birth place of Enomatic's Wine Serving System which was first developed following the vision the owner, Lorenzo Bencista, to create a wine tasting store .

Le Cantine is located in the magnificent brick vaulted basement of the restored wine cellars constructed in 1893 that were previously owned by the Union of the Chianti Wine Producers.

A 'must do' destination for all wine visitors to the Chianti Classico region, Le Cantine offers tastings of more than 100 wines plus olive oils, vin santo and grappa.

The 8 enoround 16 bottle models are the original prototype design of the Enomatic Wine Serving System. All the models have card readers and Le Cantine's Wine Cards enable customers to serve themselves.

Tables and chairs allow visitors to relax and sample the finest produce of the Chianti area including cheeses and pork products from the famous Antica Macelleria Falorni butcher shop of Greve.

A multimedia computer area enables visitors to browse information about the regions wines and villa accommodation. Historical exhibitions are placed throughout the store and include a unique library of ancient wine related publications dating back from the second half of 1700. A collection of ancient cork-screws (from 1800-1900), has more than 80 original pieces.
